Vegas!

A few weeks ago I was able to meet up with my bestest friends in Vegas for our national combined sections meeting for physical therapy. Although Vegas is not my ideal vacation, it was fun to explore the strip and see the cool buildings. Highlights from the trip are:

1. Getting to see Dr. Epley. He is founder of the Epley maneuver to clear people with positional vertigo. So exciting!!!

2. Going to The Beatles Cirque Du Soleil. It was like watching a the Beatles musical come alive which leads to number 3-

3. Getting my picture taken with the security guards for the Beatles show who were dressed like St Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band members.

4. Taking a ride to the top of the Eiffel tower replica and seeing the Belagio water show from up above at night.

5. Spending time with all my PT friends....I miss them all already!

A Day in the Life of Canby

I've been in Canby, MN for almost 6 weeks and I've found that I really like it here. I get to work with all kinds of patients in a variety of settings (the fun part of being in a rural setting). I am learning a lot and meeting a ton of great people. Everyone I work with is really nice and fun. On Mondays, we have a girl's craft night with the Bachelor, Wednesday nights are bowling league (yes that's right...I joined a bowling league...never ever thought those words would be coming out of my mouth). I feel like I belong here. The only downside is that they don't allow dogs in any Canby apartments. So, Mom is dog sitting Pippen for a few months. I miss my baby! Hence, I have been going home to Sioux Falls during most weekends -I suppose I go to see family too :) Next week....Vegas for a huge physical therapy conference. I am SO pumped to see my friends again!
