Good bye to New England!

Ok, so I've been getting some flack for not really blogging when I was in New Hampshire. Sorry! It was hard to make time for it when I didn't have internet access in my home. New England was great, but I am definitely glad to be in the Midwest. My last few months were filled with working, trying to de-stress from working, going to Boston on the weekends, see Les Miserables (one of my favorite musicals) and working on where my next assignment will be. My dear friend from Sioux falls who now lives in Boston, Jess and I came up with a list of differences between New England and the Midwest:

1. Pop is called soda

2. All eggs are brown-not white- in the grocery store

3. Sprinkles are called Jimmies

4. When you are done with a meal or don't need any more assistance, you simply say "I'm all set"

5. Everything really cool or big is 'wicked' cool or 'wicked' big.

6. Peanut butter and fluff (marshmallow fluff) are the new peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

7. Purses are called pocket books

8. Umbrellas are used not only when it's raining, but also when it's windy or slightly snowing.

Thank you to all my family and friends for prayers and support as I've been gone and traveling. I have the rest of this week off and then I am out to the small town of Canby, MN. I'm really excited to practice in a rural setting (a little bit of everything to see as a PT) and to be closer to home!

A walk through the woods

One of the things I enjoy the most about being over here (especially in the fall) is taking walks with Pippen in all different areas around here. Here are some pics of my favorite spot. It's just right down the road from where I live. It's so peaceful and serene when we walk here. The first time we walked down there, there were 2 deer!

Hello All!

Hello everybody! With some encouragement from family and friends, I have decided to do an online blog while I travel all over the country. I have just finished week 2 over here in New Hampshire and so far everything is going well. My co-workers are all really nice and have invited me over to eat with them and so forth- so I definitely feel welcome here. My only headache is that it seems all of my patients have pretty severe dementia which makes treatments more difficult to do.

Pippen and I have been exploring the area. We are living in Hanover (where Dartmouth University is). It's a very quaint town with a lot of walking trails. The leaves are just starting to change colors and it is so pretty. Kallie and I went wooden bridge looking last weekend with Pippen. I will get more pictures and such soon!
